In 2013, Mr. Huang Youwei founded Komin Sporting Goods Company in Shenzhen, providing EVA deck MATS to European and American yacht manufacturers and brands. Mr. Huang is a surfer, through sports friends introduced him to the yacht deck mat. His personal interest and the good market prospects of this product prompted him to start his own business.
When he went overseas to develop customers, Mr. Huang had many in-depth exchanges with the heads of well-known yacht brands. In their eyes, yachts are a symbol of quality of life. These companies are 100 years old, and many of them are publicly traded. They are very important to brand and quality, when choosing suppliers, they very much want to work with the brand, so that there is quality assurance, they want to establish a long-term relationship with the supplier, which is why they are very careful in the selection of suppliers, because once the quality of accessories such as deck MATS, it will affect the brand image and customer experience. Even the market value of the company. Mr. Huang secretly determined to build Komin into a well-known brand in this field.
Driven by this ambitious goal, Komin has chosen a path that is different from other suppliers and has made hard efforts to achieve it:

Komin believes that this is not only about the user experience, but also about the brand image of the yacht brand manufacturer.

Komin attaches great importance to the protection of intellectual property rights. At the beginning of its establishment, it spent 500,000 yuan and several years for this purpose, not only applied for Chinese patents, but also registered 36 patents in 15 countries and regions such as the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. At present, Komin is China’s yacht deck mat manufacturers to apply for the most patents of the company.
Environmental responsibility and responsibility
Komin is currently the only company in China’s yacht deck mat industry that has invested 500,000 yuan to purchase environmental protection equipment. The activated carbon adsorption equipment purchased can effectively treat organic waste gas, reduce pollutants, and the treatment efficiency reaches more than 90%. As an example, the treatment of particulate matter can reach more than 98%. The installation of environmental protection equipment is not only good for the health of employees, but also for the protection of air quality, which fully reflects that Komin is a company with a sense of social responsibility.
Quality management system
Only by establishing a reliable quality management system can we fundamentally guarantee product quality. To this end, Komin applied for and successfully passed the audit of the “three systems” management system of quality, environment and occupational health and safety of the internationally recognized authoritative certification body – Swiss Standard Technical Services Co., LTD. (SGS). In 2019, it obtained ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System certification, ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management system certification and ISO45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management system certification issued by SGS.
EVA foam laid on the deck, the sun and rain, prone to fading, material aging, shrinkage, fit cracking and other problems, which is bound to affect the user experience and yacht manufacturers brand image, and even affect the company’s market value. In order to create a good customer experience, Komin uses a new and environmentally friendly UV resistant 3,000-hour EVA foam material and has passed SGS ROHS certification and anti-aging and anti-UV testing.
Komin has the industry’s leading supply capacity. At present, Komin has a total area of 6500 square meters of workshops, a total of 16 CNC machines. In China’s EVA deck mat industry, Komin has the largest number of CNC machines.
Komin is currently a member of the American Yachting Association. The association will review the management level and product quality of the members who apply for membership, and only after they are qualified will they be allowed to join. Joining the American Yachting Association means that the management level of Komin Factory has been recognized by the world’s top yachting industry association.
In order to further improve the quality, Komin from Taiwan, the United States and other places to introduce high-end equipment, such as rough machine, electric thermal laminator, QUV UV aging accelerated testing machine, etc., to ensure that Komin products in quality and fineness further improve, to reach the international first-class level.
